PROJECT SUMMARY
Old arches, new purpose: Offices under the tracks. Curo Interiors delivered CAT A refurbishments, regenerating three underused railway arches.
It wasn’t so long ago that the railway arches just off Waterloo were places that you might just hurry past. Now, thanks to a carefully delivered CAT A refurbishment, three of those arches have been reborn. On Wootton and Brad Street there’s 16,845 square feet of polished, versatile workspace. All ready for the fresh ideas of a new tenant.
PROJECT Delivery
Our team kept a delicate balance. Stripping back each unit to the industrial bones of the arched ceilings and a steel structure, and upgrading everything for modern office life. That’s new drainage, MEP systems, and structural works such as shotblasted steels and plant rooms. The interiors benefitted from superloos, DDA-compliant showers, plus new flooring and decorations. The refurbished features are arranged over ground and mezzanine floors, ready to be personalised by the next inhabitants.
PROJECT OUTCOMES
The project is part of The Arch Company’s wider mission to breathe life back into the thousands of railway arches across Britain. These spaces have long been home to local businesses and, with regeneration schemes like this one, they can continue to be utilised for years to come.
For Waterloo, it’s another step in a long tradition of reinvention. The arches that once echoed with the clatter of trains will now hum with life, laptops, and the ambitious new tenants that decide to take root. London has always thrived on the lines between past, present, and future, and here on Wootton and Brad Street, we’re proud to have delivered it.
